my 8 realities

1 God loves me because of who God is, not because of anything i did or didn’t do.

2 Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift. Small miracles happen to ordinary people day by ordinary day. There is a grace in knowing what might have been but wasn’t, and blessing in living a day when nothing special happens but life just works.

3 burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. i don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

4 my job won’t take care of me when i am sick or helpless. My family and friends will. No amount of work or money can keep me from them.

5 Whenever I am asked if i could do a particular task, I just tell ‘em “Certainly!”. Then I get busy finding out how to do it.

6 i always try to see the good and the beautiful in everything and everyone. When i can’t, i just close my eyes because it is only then that i can really see.

7 those who matter don’t judge me… those who judge me, don’t matter.

8 i am beautiful. i am needed. I am blessed. i am loved.

one of the most interesting questions i’ve been asked is “what are the things you’re sure of?”. i can barely come up with 5 and u came up with 8! how old are u?!haha!

Thanks for this post… I’ve lived my life in fantasy world that sometimes, I tend to forget about these things.

San is correct. This post is indeed very beautiful. A reminder of how we should not forget the most important things in life.

Living in fantasy.. so true cos I am like that. and doing more so.. the reason why I go mountain climbing.. to forget the reality and ironies the city lights bring.

Pero sad lang last weekend.. Ako I escaped this harrowing city last saturday.. but only to be devastated come Sunday when we first heard what happened na pala.

Sometimes talaga fantasy isnt very nice..

yeah.. ondoy is really a sadistic a**hole. sana he storms his way to hell. i ache everytime i see how he has made a lot of people suffer… kaya instead of watching tv and reading the news, i just close my eyes and pray.

want to know a secret? these realities only came about because i believe they are true, at the time i wrote them. and i posted them here so i won’t forget that these are my truths and believe otherwise. :)

I like this realization. Whenever you feel alone, always call God’s name for he is just waiting for us.
