father and son

This is a beach scene i saw during my short stay at Paradiso Beach Resort, Pulupandan, Philippines.

i don’t know why, but painting this scene comforted me..  somehow it was for me a quiet assurance that in the midst of all the chaos & complexities of life, some things remain unchanged.. untouched.. uncomplicated..

Like the sun hugging the horizon.

Like the love of a father for his child.

while reflecting on the painting above, it gave me some longing, and nostalgic memories that ones in our lives we shared the same feelings of paradise we had in our friendship… that amidst our own struggles and differences friendship in abyan’s place remains…

Hope we meet at paradise place (abyan’s) together with some other “freaks” (sorry to used the word but you know what i mean. hahaha…)
