Construction Paper Giftbags

Sunday, June 20, 2010

Do you have some extra construction papers loitering your office desk? You could save them from the paper shredder and put them to good use by spending a little of your break time making personalized gift bags. Here’s how:

1. Deconstruct/take apart a used gift bag and use it as a pattern for your construction paper gift bag.

2. If a single construction paper is not enough, paste two or more paper together to accomodate your pattern. Trace, cut, glue, and fold the paper accordingly, following the creased lines of your pattern. You can make as many bags as you wish

3. Create holders by braiding 2-3 pcs. of construction paper strips together. Punch holes near the open part of your bags for the holders.

4. Design and personalize your gift bags using markers, colorful cut-outs, stickers, or basically anything that is available to you. Make your bag as simple or as fancy as you like.

These gift bags are great to hold that nearly-forgotten birthday gift or those occasional, spur-of-the-moment show of thoughtfulness.

Yes, I guess I’ll try this for myself! This will save me some extra penny buying those paper or plastic bags at the mall or at supermarket for my brood’s lunchpack to school. Nice idea you got there, Yeyey!
